Position: Engineering Manager

The role of an Engineering Manager is crucial for the successful development and deployment of innovative healthcare solutions. This individual will own and drive the product roadmap to achieve strategic objectives, enhance customer engagement and satisfaction, and drive the success and productivity of the team. Fostering a DevOps culture of collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to improving healthcare through technology.


Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the optimization of project prioritization methodologies to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Continuously assess and refine development workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to drive operational excellence.
  • Provide visionary leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Champion a customer-centric mindset across the engineering organization, instilling a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences into every aspect of the development process.
  • Define a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic goals and vision, incorporating inputs from cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and market analysis.
  • Establish a structured process for understanding customer needs to prioritizing projects with well-defined requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews of project prioritization effectiveness and iterate on the process as needed.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by providing mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, provider services, and customer success, to drive project success.
  • Participate in customer calls to clarify requirements, understand pain points, and ensure alignment between customer needs and project objectives.
  • Act as a customer-facing representative in select cases to build strong relationships and gather valuable feedback.
  • Drive the process for a development partnership program
  • Lead the annual financial planning and analysis process for the engineering team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and reduction of technical debt. 
  • Partner with the Compliance department to ensure that healthcare technology solutions comply with relevant healthcare regulations and data privacy laws.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years as a software development team member
  • 3+ years of leading a software engineering team in an agile environment. 
  • Bachelor of science in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Understanding of radiology or clinical workflows and how they interface with healthcare information systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Healthcare IT, Enterprise Imaging, and RWD&E.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Hands-on software development experience.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, data privacy, and compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, HITRUST).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with Typescript and AWS services (DynamoDB, Lambda, EventBridge, API Gateway)
